Tigernest is a prominent Himalayan Buddhist sacred site and the temple complex is located in the cliffside of the upper Paro valley in Bhutan.

A temple complex was first built in 1692, around the Taktsang Senge Samdup cave where Guru Padmasambhava is said to have meditated for three years, three months, three weeks, three days and three hours in the 8th century. Padmasambhava is credited with introducing Buddhism to Bhutan and is the tutelary deity of the country. Today, Paro Taktsang is the best known of the thirteen taktsang or "tiger lair" caves in which he meditated.

Day 1
Receiption from Airport
Our guest is welcoming by our licenced tour guide and Driver from Paro international Airport and then traveling to Thimphu Via Iron chaim bridge about two hours drive. the tour from Airport to Thimphu will be one of the wondeful drive where you will be driving along River through Paa chu(river from Paro) and at the middle of the journey where you will meet with confluence of Paa chu and Wang chhu(River from Thimphu) and then you will be driving along Wang Chhu, with the beautiful village scence and tropical shrub Plants.

After Reaching Thimphu You will be checking into hotel and halt for Lunch.after lunch you will be going  for sightseeing around Thimphu.
The National Memorial Chorten was built in 1974 to honor the late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. A chorten is a hemispherical shaped memorial stupa. Known as the most visible religious landmark in Bhutan, it is used as a place of meditation.
Thimphu Tashichho Dzong, a traditional fortress and Buddhist Monastery, is the largest in the city. Featuring distinctive Bhutanese architecture, using neither nails nor written plans, the structure serves as the current seat of the King of Bhutan.

 

Day 2

Sight seeing Around Thimphu

After Break fast you will be visitng Buddha View Point where the Buddha Dordenma statue sits. At 169 feet tall, this bronze statue can be seen from just about anywhere in Thimphu. One of the largest statues in the world depicting a seated Buddha, it is the perfect place to enjoy stunning, panoramic views of the city.

Takin Preserve: A large enclosure for the national animal Takin (Bordocas Taxicolor). Legend has it that the Takin is a cross between a goat and a buffalo, but biologists agree that its nearest relative is the arctic musk ox. This bizarre beast looks as if it was assembled from parts of several animals and vaguely resembles an American bison tinged in golden fur. Male Takins have been known to hide by lying spread-eagle on the ground.

National Folk Heritage Museum, dedicated to connecting Bhutan to its past with exhibitions, demonstrations, and artifacts. Designed to resemble a rural home, this 19th-century building houses three stories of art, culture, and relics.

Weaving is considered the national art of Bhutan, so at The National Textile Museum, you will learn all about the brightly colored and beautifully designed fabrics that are worn by the Bhutanese people. Thanks in part to our Queen Jetsun Pema, the fabrics of Bhutan are widely considered high fashion around the world. Due to the importance of this living art form, the Royal Government of Bhutan works to preserve and promote these traditional weaving methods.

 

Jungzhi Handmade Paper Factory: The first of cottage industries established in the country. Although the process of making traditional paper may be simple, a considerable amount of time is required to collect the raw materials, such as the bark of the Daphne plant and certain plant roots for glue.  Apart from a small heater to dry the sheets of paper, everything is manually done.  Daphne paper is one of the finest papers in the world and is highly recommended for artists.

Centenary Farmers’ Market is where most of the locals gather on the banks of the river every weekend. Villagers from the nearby valley come here to sell agricultural products and handmade crafts.

Day 3

Punakha via Dochula Pass
you will be traveling to Punakha after breakfast via Dochulafor 3 to 4 hours drive,while travel to punakha you will be visiting Dochula one of the beautiful Pass in Bhutan with comprise of 108 mini stupa,from Dochula pass you will get chance to see highest Himalayan Mountains of Bhutan which will be more than 5000 feet.so you will be travel from 3000 feet to 1500 ft where you can see diffirent species of plant accordingly altitude.

Chimmi Lhakhang: Take a 45 min hike round trip through the rice field. It is situated on a hillock in the centre of the valley, dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kuenley, famously known as the ‘Divine Madman’ a saint in the late 15th century who used humor, songs and outrageous behavior to dramatize his teachings. This temple is also known as the temple of fertility. It is widely believed that couples who do not have children and wanting one, if they pray at this temple, they are usually blessed with a child very soon.

Punakha’s Dzong: The name means Palace of Great Bliss. This fortress stands magnificently on the spit of land where two rivers (Pho chu and Mo chu) meet. It has special significance in Bhutanese history as the place where Bhutan’s first King, Ugyen Wangchuck, was crowned in 1907.

 



Day 4

after breakfast drive to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten - Built by the third Queen Mother Ashi Tshering Yangdon wangchuck this Chorten is a slpendid example of of the Bhutanese architecture and art and is the only one of its kind in the world. It has been built over eight and a half years and its details have been drawn from religious scripture.

Talo Village:exploring the serene village within the mountain which is  Arranged at a stature of a pair of,800m which is reached out on the slope inclines Talo Village is the ideal alternative for the character lovers. Talo Sangnacholing is built on level and has good sight of contiguous villages.

The stunning farm and places of the city have its own bloom gardens and on the slope slant corns and sweet peas ar developed bounty. The ladies of Talo ar significantly celebrated for his or her beauty. Talo Tsechu has held in the ground shut Talo Dzong or religious residence. One can likewise visit the Talo religious residence placed on the slopes on top of Punakha.

Sangchchen Dorji Lhuendrup nunnery is a large temple complex which is located on a ridge beside the neighboring Punakha and Wangdue Phodrang amidst pine trees,where more than 50 nuns are resides. the place is also beautiful view point of valleys in Punakha and Wangdue.

Day 5


Return Back to Paro
you will be traveling back to paro which will take around 4 hours drive.on the way to paro you will be visiting Botanical Park where you can find thousand species of plants,herbs and flowers,the part is very beautiful with presence of lake and ponds,the place is picnic spot for the locality during the special ocasion and festival.after reaching paro you will be visiting Paro Museum,Paro Dzong and paro town

Day 6
Hike to Taktsang(tiger nest)
you will be hiking to Taktsang which takes 2 to 3 hours up and less hours down,Taktsang is located at cliff where Guru Padma Sambhava, a buddhist saint meditated at the cliff during 700 century. it is considered as most sacrifial place and it is said to be in one of the ten wonders of the Earth. so every tourist prefer to visit the place.

after hike you will be visiting Drugyal Dzong,kyichhu Lhakhang and you will be visiting Paro town.

Day 7
Return Flight or Departure
After breakfast,depend upon the departure of flight schedule,our guide and driver will drop you to the Airport before two hours of departure.so tour guide will drop you till the departure terminal of to say farewell.
